National Genealogy Society - A service organization that leads and educates the national genealogical community and assist members in tracing family histories.

FamilyHistory.com - Featuring more than 119,000 message boards, this is a great place to communicate with other amateur genealogists.

GENDEX - An index of online databases related to genealogy.

Notorious Ancestors - This site gives you a chance to share stories about your more colorful ancestors.

RootsWeb.com - This site features four searchable databases including the Social Security Death index.

Family Tree Searcher - Include searchable databases that allow for very specific searching and saved searches.

Findagrave - Includes burial records for 2.5 million ordinary folks and thousands of celebrities and data on 100.000 U.S. graveyards.
